Are you Killing your Fleece Clothing with kindness?Dec 7/04
Most avid Snowmobilers have finally figured out that Cotton is not the best fabric to wear when dressing to ride and are wearing Micro-Fibres. Micro-Fibre fabric is just as its name implies, it is manufactured using Microscopic fibres. When washing them, DO NOT use fabric softener. Fabric Softener will bind all the Micro Fibres together, effectively filling all the micro pores that give the Micro Fibre it's outstanding thermal value. The Fabric Softener also slows down the Micro-Fibres ability to move moisture away from you body leaving you feeling cold and clammy just as if you were wearing Cotton again.
